Unfortunately, the real world works a little differently. Almost all the phones released over the past 18 months will be able to upgrade to Android Pie, but some models will be able to receive an update only after Google will present the general public Android Q.

The following information described is just our guesses that do not have official confirmations (if not specified inverse).
Let's start with Google. We usually manage to predict most of all that is associated with this company. It is for this reason that we placed Google at the very beginning. Guess which phones will be able to upgrade to Android PIE is easy and for the reason that Google has already reported which models will not exactly receive an update.
- Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL - already updated to Android PIE.
- Pixel and Pixel XL - already updated to Android Pie.
- According to unofficial information, any Android One The phone released after October 2017 will be able to upgrade to PIE this fall.

Samsung

As soon as we need to predict the next action again LG, the company becomes a trump card. As with Samsung, LG has a few "important" models that are constantly talked about in the press and a huge number of budget models that almost no one remembers.
In addition, LG has mentioned some optimizations, which we hope will give the development team enough time to install all the necessary updates on devices in time without any additional problems.

- LG V30 (including the V30S model or others like it that may come out in the future) will be upgraded to Android Pie.

- LG G6 will be able to upgrade to Android Pie.
Older models like the G5 and V10 no longer receive any attention from the company and the press, so it's unlikely they'll be able to upgrade to Pie in the very near future. LG makes several phones that are hard to call flagships, but we know that the company is willing to spend time and money updating some of them.
We also believe that LG strengthens its position and releases phones only when it is completely sure that it is time for a new model, and not just randomly poking at the calendar.
Huawei
Actions Huawei not so predictable simply. Unlike LG and Samsung, which abandoned the Asian method of making smartphones for their divisions in the United States, Huawei did not do this. Therefore, for those of us who closer to Western thinking, some of the company's actions may seem a bit strange.
As soon as we begin to seem that we are surely guessed the company's flagship models that will receive a lion's share, financing and the attention of the press, Huawei immediately changes. And you know, there is even something there.
For some reason, Huawei changed the usual way to redistribute funds and support devices running the EMUI operating system (Custom version of Android from Huawei), back in 2017. - Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be updated before Android Pie.
- Honor 9 and Honor View 10 will be able to upgrade to Android PIE. We hope (but not sure) that this is waiting for the Honor 8 Pro and 7x model.
- Huawei Mate 9 Most likely, will be updated to Android Pie, but this is not accurate.
