The company "Electronic systems" Alcatel"decided to develop such a direction as smartphones with large screens, and released a gadget TeXet TM -5204. The novelty, like the predecessor TM-5200, supports the operation of two SIM cards in active mode, but has a more powerful "filling" and current software.
Appearance
Design TeXet TM-5204 is not much different from its predecessor - classic monoblock. The front surface occupies the display under which there are four touch control buttons, and above it is a front camera and speaker. On the back of the chamber, LED flash and logo.
The hull is made of black plastic, and the back cover has a Soft Touch coating that prevents the appearance of fingerprints and protects against small scratches.
The device assembly is made quite well: there are no screens when working and the backlash.
The size of the device - 144x80x12 mm, and weighs the gadget is quite decent - 213 grams, but it contributes, of course, a 5.25-inch display and a sufficiently capacious battery.

Performance and software
TeXet TM-5204 is based on a 1-nuclear processor MediaTek MT6575 Cortex-A9 with a clock frequency of 1 GHz, PowerVR SGX531 Ultra OpenGL ES 2.0, 512 MB memory. This hardware "filling" will ensure good performance and will allow you to cope with everyday tasks.
The device also has 4 GB of integrated memory, which can be increased by cards microSD.
TeXet TM-5204 is operating under the control of the Android operating system 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The smartphone software is adapted for Russia and CIS countries: the transfer of the main and additional menu items is made, the list of options and utilities is optimized. The "TeXet recommends" directory is also made, which will allow you to upload the most popular applications and games without registration.
The device supports work Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G-networks.
Note that users often have complaints about the operation of the Wi-Fi module, which is unstable.
Screen
The main advantage of teXet TM-5204, of course, is the 5.25-inch TFT screen with resolution of 800x480 pixels and 16 million colors. The display is capacitive and supports 5-finger multi-touch.
Image quality for a budget device is quite decent: bright colors, good color reproduction, good viewing angles.
Camera
The teXet TM-5204 is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus function. It allows you to take photos with a maximum resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. We note one feature: the flash is very dim with a blue tint.
The camera allows you to record video, which is quite good, you can safely watch it on a TV with a large screen.
The device also has a 0.3 megapixel front camera for video conferencing.
Battery
The unit has a 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery. Which, according to the documentation, is capable of providing up to 15 hours of battery life in talk mode, up to 500 hours in standby mode and up to 7 hours in Internet mode (Wi-Fi / 3G).
Price
The recommended price of teXet TM-5204 is 10999 rubles, which, in our opinion, is quite an adequate price for a model with similar capabilities.
